ABOUT US

The International Climate Team is a student organization that aims to get students involved in developing powerful, cost effective weather stations for studying the effects of climate change on a local, national, and global scale. In addition, we aim to promote student and school research in the areas of environmental science and engineering. This is done through new technology innovations and student coordination across a broad spectrum of fields.

International Component

The International Climate Team is heavily affiliated with the The Trans-African HydroMeteorological Observatory (TAHMO), a group that "aims to develop a vast network of weather stations across Africa. Current and historic weather data is important for agricultural, climate monitoring, and many hydro-meteorological applications." (TAHMO).  TAHMO is attempting to place many weather stations across Africa by installing the weather stations at schools.

ICT aids TAHMO by participating in its School-2-School program, which helps African schools aiming to build their own weather stations. This is done through fundraising for partner schools as well as building a community where schools may communicate and share ideas.
